Amsterdam is an extremely beautiful city. I love it, ‘cause it presents something unique for every one. For me it presents autumn and winter. As I’ve never come to the capital of Holland neither in spring no in summer. And for this reason, I have a clear understanding, that even in nasty weather it is quite comfortable there. That’s why I accepted Lena and Dima’s invitation to organise a photo session in autumn in Amsterdam with pleasure.
Autumn in Amsterdam – walking tour
Bikes set a standard in Amsterdam and Holland. Sometimes, I have an expression that by a long stretch of the imagination Dutchmen can fall and beget right on their iron horses. But we’ll talk about this later. Now I’d like to introduce you another Amsterdam, the one we were learning during our walk around main sights of the city.
I’m very happy to make this post and let me explain to you why. Originally I come from Belarus, where I was born and went to school and University. Now I live in Rome, where I do feel inspired. And Kirill and Anna are the first brides from my native town whom I was picturing in my beloved city during their honeymoon in Italy. For them Rome was the dream place where to go after the wedding, for me it was great responsibility, since as Kirill told me, they planned to have the big day in Rome, but the paperwork, visas and other issues, didn’t let them. Anyway they two came to Rome and I saw. Let me share this lovely story with you as well.
It occurred that virtually we knew each other well, because we have a lot of common friends and colleagues, though we didn’t meet before. That is why from the very first moment of our meeting I felt that we have known each other at least for some years — so easy was to communicate and work with the couple.
It has passed just two months after together with my sweetheart I was discovering new places in Paris and made a photo session in La Defense district. It was amazing times with warm weather and perfect light. Now it is already October, though in Rome it is still fine, the rest of Europe suffers from rains and cold. Nevertheless we don’t stop traveling and visiting new cities and countries. Today I would like to tell you about our latest trip from Rome to Rotterdam and Amsterdam. But this time it will be my Jane, who tells the story in words and I only add some pictures.
Photographer in Rotterdam — review
“Holland was put into my to-do list several months ago, when I heard from our friend Alexander Znaharchuk about queen’s birthday party. What made me smile that moment, according to his words, everybody are invited. Unfortunately I could just try to feel the atmosphere of the great Netherlands holiday viewing the video and some photos, as well as when listening to the stories from that trip. But! My piece of cake was waiting for!
You remember, my dear readers, that Czech Republic is a very popular and on the other hand it is a very friendly country for sweet couples searching for romantic places. Therefore I do picture not only wedding and engagements, but also make honeymoon in Prague shootings. To tell the truth, every shooting for is like a first one, therefore every set is as unique as every couple is. And believe me, they are!
I met Anna and Sergey and the monument of St. Wenceslas early in the morning. The day before we discussed the plan and ideas, so everyone was ready to start a new amazing sunny day.

- They are priceless. (c) Anna and Sergey
My new couple is Ludmila and Dmitrij, who came to Italy immediately after their wedding in Moscow in order to spend some weeks at honeymoon trip around italian cities and villages. All in all they planned to sent some two weeks discovering the country and its culture. Luckily, I was chosen among numerous photographers in Rome and therefore now I can tell you their story. Or even not the whole story, but just the beginning of it.
My dear readers, I have a new and fascinating story to tell you. I do believe that most of you know how important for me is to get ready for the photo session. I always get acquainted with the couple and try to go a bit deeper than just taking photos. I capture precious moments and highlight feelings and emotions. But this couple helped me to see that even spontaneous photo shooting, when I only know the names and have a picture of how they look like, is extremely interesting. But let me explain to you all these thoughts.
Engagement in Rome
Let me introduce to you Ricky and Pallavi — a lovely couple from the USA. They came to Rome to tour this amazing city. But there was another plan in Ricky’s — to ask his sweetheart “Will you?”. With help of his sister he found me as photographer in Rome and asked to make some shoots of them. But Ricky wanted me to be hidden, so that Pallavi didn’t notice me, since engagement was a surprise for her. There were some difficulties on our way to success, but we managed: Ricky received positive answer and I made some lovely pictures. Some of them just with no comments.
It is not a secret that Paris is the most romantic city in the World. That’s why photo session of sweethearts in this city is an extremely interesting and inspiring happening for me. I like to shoot engagements, weddings and of course honeymoons in Paris.
Paris — one love
I visited Paris a few years ago for the first time and noticed numerous couples kissing everywhere. Maybe it was because of May and spring? I don’t really know. But the air was totally breathing with romantics.
Lovely couples were kissing and hugging in the metro, sitting on the benches they expressed their feelings freely. At that moment I had poor experience as a photographer-traveler, but now, after 5 years, having visited many places in the world, I can say for sure that Paris streets and parks are awesome, they are fool of love and tenderness.
This gruesome-twosome had a long and thorny way to their wedding day. Denis came to conquer Prague few years ago, while Liza, having finished the school, decided to study in one of the universities in the capital of the Czech Republic. At that time they could hardly imagine that this was the vary path to their future wedding. Anyway their Big Day enriched my portfolio. But actually, there were not two of them as usually but three, namely Denis, Liza and their future baby.
For recent 3 years I’ve been experiencing real cultural diversity being involved into different family events. Every single couple is unique and has its own vision of how the things run, whether it is an engagement in Rome or a wedding in Singapore. What I usually do, but for taking photos and enjoying something new, I do analyse and compare cultural and wedding peculiarities of different countries.
For example, I came to the conclusion that couples from Eastern Europe get married earlier and the once from the West. Average age of most brides in Russia or Belarus (my native country) is about 20-25. When British couples spent together from 5 to 10 years with no stamps in passport and closer to 30 they get married. To my mind it is normal to choose any variant among possible once. I’m not convincing anyone to take this or that side, just giving a fact. Continue reading →
August 2013 was a very hot season. I would call it a wedding marathon. We started in Prague, then came to Metzingen, our beloved German city, and then I had a trip to Paris. I have been to French capital several times, but this one was a special, since I was travelling with my beloved Jane.
Actual purpose of my trip to Paris was a honey moon photo session for Lada and Vlad. And of course when I came to the city of all lovers not alone, but with my beloved lady, I could not miss such an opportunity to picture her in amazing interiors of the city. Continue reading →
It is not a secret, that mostly Prague is full of tourists on the New Year Eve, when thousands of young and old, single and group explorers come to visit Czech Capital. But still there are plenty of travellers who prefer to visit this fabulous city on sunny and warm days, in summer. Some of them do it even every year, because once you’ve seen Prague, you’ll definitely want to come here again and again.
It was the first time Olga and Aleksej visited Prague, but I am sure it is not the last one. As for me, I was into luck to be not only a photographer, but a kind of a guide who showed the city and revealed them secrets of Prague.
Wedding season is in full swing now and it is high time you, dear readers and future newlyweds, took a closer look at my new wedding photography in Prague. In this post we are speaking about people who come to the Czech Republic and places where they come from in order to get married and spend their honeymoon in Europe, including the Czech Republic.
This year there are a lot of couples from Russia, but Prague becomes more and more popular with lovers from Asia: China, Singapore and Macau. The latter can’t but admire every stone on the pavement and are willing to be photographed against a background of every building and monument. The matter is that most of them live in megalopolises with the times where there’s no place for historical and mono-functional buildings. This is the reason why the Czech Republic and other European countries appeals so much to honeymooners and lovers from Asia.
My dear readers and brides. I have a new couple to introduce to you. They came to Italy from Canada where they live and work. Sandy and David found my articles with tips and advice for couples, who plan to visit Rome and Italy for their engagement trip. After several e-mails exchanged I booked my tickets to Italian capital.
The idea of my new friends’s was to make some lovely engagement pictures around Rome sights and attractions. But also they wanted me as a professional photographer to be their family cameraman, since brides were traveling together with their parents. Therefore the project seemed to be very interesting for me. And to tell the truth it was amazing. I was already said, that the pictures of their engagement photo session in Rome will be used as decorations in the wedding day, that is planned to be held in Toronto.
After several years spent in Prague I came to the conclusion, that in this city my favorite month is May. Actually, I have several locations in Europe that are somehow linked with certain period of the year. For example: Paris is about spring, Amsterdam – about autumn, Barcelona and Rome more about summer. Though it’s only my point of view, if you have any other experiences, feel free to share it with me. My Facebook page and other means of communications are always available for you, my fellow readers and couples.
But let us come back to my lovely couple: Anna and Anton. These young and beautiful people shared with me not only amazing experiences of their engagement and pre wedding trip to Prague, they also brought to Prague real spring: warm and sunny, that every one in Czech capital was waiting after a very long and cold winter. Life is getting more and more international for me and my friends from wedding studio Mongooses.TV. Try to imagen the following: me, being a Belarussian-born photographer with polish routs, flew from Warsaw to Rome, where I was to meet Daphne and Harry, a sweet couple from Hong Kong, who currently work in London and Zurich respectively. Rome was the place of their wedding tour. For any photographer in Rome such an interesting couple is a real treasure.
“The photos are amazing.”— the first email I received from my new friends, after I had sent them the pics. We had a nice the-whole-day-long photo shoot around Italian capital and its sights.
