Engagement in Prague: Lijie and Weizhang

Engagement photography in Praha, Rome, Paris and other European cities becomes more and more popular. Couples travel from different parts of the world to capture the moment when he asks “Will you?” and she gives the answers. For me this kind of shooting is an indispensable part of work. I like to see and to capture that moments when people are open and sincere.

Sometimes boys would like to make extraordinary things or just to surprise their beloved girls. But this happens relatively rear. Most of the couples already know about the wedding plans, therefore a trip to Europe is a chance to make some lovely shots, that are going to be displayed during the wedding reception.

Lijie and Weizhang came to Praha from Singapore. It was their first visit to Czech Republic. And it the city of their dream, since they studied a lot of photos before the trip and were completely in love with Praha red roofs, Charles Bridge and other attractions.

The day before this engagement shooting we met with my new friends from Singapore. As usually I was with my friend and manager Vladimir Novikov, who runs all the projects and helps the couples to book me as a wedding photographer. Have a look at his wedding blog Lijie wanted to make both daylight pictures and evening once, therefore we decided to split our day into two. The first part started at 6 a.m. with the following location:

  • Old Town Square;
  • Charles Bridge;
  • John Lennon Wall;
  • Prague Castle;

In the evening we climbed to Prague Castle and started with St. Vitus Cathedral. Step by step we were getting closer to the river and finally finished this engagement shooting in the Old Town of Praha.

Since I have experience in working with lost of couple coming to Praha from Asia, I know perfectly well that in front of the camera they would never show much of emotions. No kisses for sure. Though they are very cute and lovely people, but with different cultural background.

So, as usually early in the morning the city was absolutely free and open to discovery. The light was pretty soft and attractive. We had an amazing engagement photo shooting that day with Lijie and Weizhang from Singapore.

Morning city

Night city

At night we spent about two hours wondering through the lovely and romantic places of the city capturing moments and atmosphere. My Singapore couple did like very much the beauty of night Praha, since it is completely a different city from the one you can see during the day. Have a look at these night engagement photos.

My dear Lijie and Weizhang. Thank you for choosing me as your Prague photographer. I do believe that we will meet with you not once! Your morning and night engagement in Praha was really interesting event for me to picture! It high time you planed a honeymoon in Rome, isn’t it?

Sincerely yours,

Artur Jakutsevich
