Hotels in Rome

Italian capital is a very popular destination for couples from all over the world. Architecture, unique ambiance and fantastic possibilities for travellers make this city the first in our listing. Below you may find several recommendations of romantic hotels for different budget. These places we checked and rated by the real people during vacations, honeymoon trips to Italy and of course during weddings. So read our reviews and book your hotel in Rome.

Hassler Rome

Hassler Rome is one of the most luxurious hotels in Rome. With its true five stars Hassler is located right above the Spanish Steps — one of the most romantic place in the city where thousands either locals and foreign couples got engaged. Of course for luxury rooms high service and unique views one should pay a proper price, which is about 600 Euro per night. Our couple Risa and Tatsya from Japan spend the honeymoon in this fantastic hotel Hassler Rome. There is also Mishlen restaurant on the seventh floor with a panorama that will make you love Rome.

Grand Hotel Gianicolo

Grand Hotel Gianicolo is located on one of the most popular view point of Rome — Gianicolo Hill. For a night in this hotel one will pay about 140-200 Euros per night. Is the ideal hotel for romantic people and those who of you, who is keen on panoramic views. Just round the corner from Grand Hotel Gianicolo you will find Aqua Paola fountain one of my favourite viewpoints. Trastevere is quite close as well. 10 minutes walk and you will reach Piazza Garibaldi – the second viewpoint and the most romantic place ever. Romans pop the question “Will you?” in this area. So it is true and very romantic place to live. Take bus No.871, it runs every half an hour, or have a 30 minutes walk and you will see Vatican and St. Angel Cathedral.

Trilussa Palace Hotel Congress & Spa

Trilussa Palace Hotel Congress & Spa is a modern and offbeat hotel located in a lovely part of Rome – Trastevere. Usual price per night is about 200 Euros. It has perfect location: 10 minutes walk to the gastronomic centre of the district and few tram stops from Piazza Venecia (you will need tram number 8). Moreover just round the corner you will enjoy shopping in Porta Porteze – the biggest flee market in Rome, which is open every Sunday. I would not call Trilussa Palace Hotel Congress & Spa a very expensive or luxurious hotel, but it has special flavour of the area. Trastevere is just fascinating.

B&B By Me

Another quite popular and very interesting variant of where to stay in Rome is B&B By Me – also located in Trastevere, near the railway station and has the same pros as as the mentioned above, but  the price for a night per person will be about 80-90 Euros only.  If you budget is limited, then it is an excellent value for money to pay for a bed in Rome. From the nearest railway station you will get to Fumicino airport for 8 Euro per person only. Just take the right train. Insiders life-hack for you: find on the map Café Camerino and tag it. This is just an absolutely delicious cafe where to have breakfast for some 8-15 Euros. I would stress that B&B By Me will be a good variant of hotel in Rome for budget travellers.

NH Collection Roma Vittotio Veneto

IS you would like to stay near Villa Borghese, our recommendation is NH Collection Roma Vittotio Veneto. In this Rome hotel you will pay about 200 Euros per night. This is a very comfortable place with unique modern design. This hotel was highly appreciated by another couple while their wedding trip to Rome. Getting to the centre from NH Collection Roma Vittotio Veneto is an easy task, since just round the corner there is a parking place with taxes and with a bus stop. There is a good restaurants and well-knowHard Rock Café at Via Veneto.

How to get from from Fiumicino airport to Rome City Center

The easiest way of getting from Fiumicino airport to the hotel is to book a transfer. Our sincere recommendation goes to Sergio, the most reliable Italian driver, who takes care of every couple we work with. This is the fastest and the most comfortable way from the airport to any place of Italian capital. The fee is 50 Euros, which is only 20 Euros more than any alternative (train or bus). But if you are on a romantic trip, this is not thing to economise on. And it is absolutely cheaper than taking a taxi. Follow the link rome4.us and make you reservations for a transfer.

Hotels in Venice

If you plan a romantic pre wedding trip or honeymoon in Venice, we recommend you to book a hotel close to any water Vaporetto bus stop, preferably somewhere at San Marco Square. This is not the right place to enjoy long strolls with luggage. Prices for booking a nice hotel in Venice start from 150 Euros per night. If you are pressed for budget, have a look at the area near Venezia Mestre.

Luna Hotel Baglioni

Luna Hotel Baglioni is a five-star hotel in Venice located on San Marko square. Basically this is more than enough of description. For a night you will have to pay from 450 up to 1700 Euros depending on the room you choose. There is a luxury suite with a panoramic view over the bay. This is the only room with such a view! My experience shows that this hotel is a good place to start photo shootings. My new friends from Canada Carson and Agnes during their pre-wedding trip to Italy used to live there.

Hotel Rialto

Hotel Rialto is a 4 star hotel located just by the Rialto Bridge in Venice. The price for a double room is relatively small, if we take into considerations its location. Usually it is about 250-350 Euros per suit. On the other side of the channel there are lots of romantic restaurants with perfect Italian menu and reasonable prices. All the restaurants are constructed in such a way that you can have dinner almost on the water.

Hotel Ambasciatori and Delfino Venezia Mestre

Hotel Ambasciatori and Quality Hotel Delfino Venezia Mestre are the two 4 star hotels located close to each other in Mestre area. There is a bus stop and if you take line 4, in 12 minutes you are in Venice. Among pros of these hotels is nearby railway station and supermarket Spar. So if you are a bit pressed for money, consider this option, because you will pay about 80-120 Euros per night depending on the season. Believe me, this price for a hotel in Venice is very reasonable.

Transport in Venice

All the trains going to Venice arrive in Venezia Santa Lucia railway station or Venezia Mestre railway station. If you are going to stay in the old part of the city, buy a city pass for 20 Euros per day or 30 Euros for two days. It will save your money, because one trip on Vaporetto (water buses in Venice) is 7 Euros. And believe me you are sure to use it not once during a day.

This pass works on buses from Mestre to Venice as well. Oneway trip is 1,3 Euros. Buses go every 10 minutes. Final stop in the old part of the city is Piazzale Roma. From the bus stop it takes you some 30 minutes to get to San Marko.

Hotels in Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is a tiny fisherman village in Italy with very attractive views. Everyone who has ever searched for photos from Italy could have seen this place. Enjoy a photo shooting with Olga and Egor in Riomaggiore. Most of the tourist visit the place on a day trip basis: arrive in the morning and leave in the evening.

Riomaggiore has only 2 hotels and the rest opportunities to stay for a night are Bed and Breakfast options. So start planning you trip in advance, because sometimes even two-three months before it’s a problem to make a booking. I was lucky to stay in Hotel Villa Argentina which has 3 stars and service fantastic breakfasts. It is located on a hill and opens spectacular view over the mountains and the sea. I strongly recommend this variant of where to stay in Riomaggiore.

This listing of hotels is incomplete and we will update the info constantly with new reviews and recommendations.
