So weeks ago I had a chance to meet a lovely couple from Odessa, Ukraine during their engagement in Rome. I did enjoy the day and time spent together with my new friends. And it made me to remember my beloved blog and you my fellow readers. As you see I’m pretty active in Facebook and Instagram (to the right you may see the links). But let’s get back to photo shooting in Rome in January.
The couple
Roman – a blue-water sailor, decided to spend his vacations in one of the most romantic countries in the world – in Italy, besides, there was a great reason for this – his beloved Elena had never there. That’s why, I decided even to name their first photo: «Come on, my darling, I’ll show you Rome!»
The city
I’m always asked: «What will the weather be? I have already replied to the question million times. It seams, the best I can do is to write an article about this issue once. Every bride worries about the weather. There for, I would like to make you easy and say that there was only one and a half rains during my seven-year experience in wedding industry.
Moreover, rain is a temporal thing and it ends very quickly, especially in Rome. Sometimes there are periods, when you can’t find a single drop for 2-3 months. Do not forget, that it’s the South and it can be less than +10 very seldom, even in winter. So it’s pretty comfortable to take pictures even in a dress.
We began our engagement photo shooting in Rome from Coliseum and the Roman Forum with Spanish Steps to go on. It January and the morning started at 8 a.m. It was quite late, as numerous tourists start to wake up and walk around the city. In summer we have a great opportunity to start at 6 a.m., as the city is empty and the sun isn’t so hot.
It took us about 4 hours to see all the locations planed and to take pictures. For me the time flew very fast, since Elena and Roman are very open and easy people. We were on the same wave and could understand each other without words. Thank you for inviting me as a photographer to your engagement in Rome! It was my big pleasure. This photo shooting is one of the best I ever had in January.
